Civil Litigation Breach of Contract: $3.2M Verdict

Defendant failed to order a contractual minimum, causing financial harm to Plaintiff. After trial, the Court found in favor of the Plaintiff and awarded $3.2M in damages.

Civil Litigation Breach of Contract $63,463.84 Verdict

The plaintiff was in the process of selling his house to the Defendant. It was discovered at the closing table that Defendant did not borrow enough money from his bank, and Plaintiff agreed to take back a note and mortgage for the deficient amount to be repaid within one year. The defendant failed to pay as promised. After several attempts to settle, the Plaintiff had no recourse but to file suit. The Court favored the Plaintiff and awarded him $63,463.84 in damages.

Civil Litigation Declaratory Judgment $149,399.00 Verdict

Husband and wife named each other as the beneficiaries of their respective IRAs. The parties divorced but never changed the beneficiary designations of their IRAs. The wife passed away, and the wife’s estate and the ex-husband claimed the IRA funds. The suit was brought in the Federal District Court of New Hampshire, and in a case of first impression, the Court ruled in favor of our client, the plaintiff’s ex-husband, and awarded him the entire IRA amount of $149,399.00.
